Another great program of music by Women Composers
Works by Dora Pejacevic, Undine Smith Moore, Amy Beach, and Heleen Verleur

Join us for another celebration of incredible women composers to belatedly celebrate Mother’s Day. We have been proud to perform numerous neglected women composers over the years and help give them their voice back into the classical repertoire. This year, we hope to feature a wonderfully Romantic Piano Trio by early 20th century Croatian composer Dora Pejacevic. We will also perform a very fun work by Dutch contemporary composer Heleen Verleur that includes the blues, tango, and other popular idioms. We will also highlight composer Amy Beach who composed many works for an important female violin virtuoso of the early 20th century, Maud Powell, who in turn made some fantastic transcriptions and arrangements of music for violin and piano. Finally, we will bring back a wonderful piece by African-American composer Undine Smith Moore based on Afro-American Spirituals. You will not want to miss these incredible works that need to be heard!

Join us at this very special home in Norwich. Dr. Bauman is a terrific host with two grand pianos and a perfect acoustical space for house concerts with beautiful decks. His address of 221 Newton Lane in White River Junction is on Google Maps. Once you get on Newton Lane, look for the red painted mailbox with birds and the number 221 on it, take right turn about 10 feet past the mailbox and proceed up his very long (and slightly bumpy so go slowly) driveway. There will be parking once you reach his home. Cost is only $35pp. Sign up by clicking the “Add to Cart” button. You can add as many seats as you want on the next screen. Children are half price.
