"BROADWAY MELODIES"--June 19-24

Erma Mellinger and Dan Weiser combine for another toe-tapping, hum-along revue of some of the great Broadway show tunes of all time by such songwriters as George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Richard Rodgers, Jerome Kern, and more.   Erma Mellinger has sung across the country and has been hailed for her "rich, vibrant, creamy voice."  Daniel Weiser, Artistic Director of Classicopia, has been described as "a force of pianistic energy" and has performed in over 20 different countries and throughout the U.S.

Classicopia welcomes a new cellist to our growing family of musicians.  Dr. Zelkowicz recently moved to Boston after many years in Pittsburgh, where he was the founder and director of the Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival.  He has performed around the world and has music degrees from Eastman, Indiana, and Stony Brook.  This program will include some exciting folk-inspired music by Schumann, Grieg, and Piazzolla

 Classicopia welcomes back Ralph Allen and Iris Jortner, a wonderful musical couple that has been living in Israel for past couple years.  They will be joined by Marcia Cassidy, viola faculty at Dartmouth College, and two members of her family, husband/bass player Paul and son/violinist David.  We will perform the fabulous Trout Quintet by Schubert as well as the epic Piano Quintet by Schumann
